The Sonate en Forme de Trio for Oboe, Clarinet and Bassoon is dedicated to the American Organist and Composer Carson P. Cooman.

The work is written as a neo-classical Trio Sonata, in an expanded tonal style. The first movement is Fugato-style Allegro. The second movement is a canon in the Oboe and Clarinet which is acompanied by the Bassoon to provide a harmonic base. The final presto is in an Italianate Concertante style to end the piece brilliantly.

La Sonate en forme de Trio pour Hautbois, Clarinette et Basson est dédiée à l'organiste et compositeur américain Carson P. Cooman.

L’œuvre est basée sur la forme d'une sonate en trio, avec une vocabulaire neo-classique et plutôt tonale. L'intiale mouvement est "alla breve" en fugato. La seconde mouvement est un canon à la quart entre l'hautbois et la clarinette avec un support harmonique donné par le basson. La finale "Presto" est dans un style "concertante" de type "italien" pour finir l'oeuvre en brillance.
